| Happy...I am referring to the legend of Dr. Dolby...
Drifter | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| I think I've heard that story, css. Was a pencil involved?
css | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| I don't think so..
Drifter | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| Maybe I'm thinking of a different story. Was Happy's bro involved and words something like "down boy" could have been said by the doctor?
css | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| I think so...maybe Happy could clarify?
Skipper | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| No, that was Jeff Gruver and the pencil, we were getting our physicals at the old clinic....that's it I'm shaving today!!
css | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| I'm not familiar with that story. Sorry if I have mixed things up...
css | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| Skipper...rumor has it you could use the back of a credit card for shaving?
Drifter | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| I think Skipper is right. My fault. Skipper, just grow out the chin hair so you can look like Guzman.
Drifter | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| Skipper wants to grow a beard so he can look like his favorite sub teacher, Rik Watson. He could sub teach like a son of a bitch..
Skipper | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| yea, you are probably right on that credit card thing, do they ever update the chronicle on here, that guy won the golf tourney 2 and a 1/2 weeks ago....
css | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| Mr. Watson or Mr.Guzman won the tournament?
Drifter | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| Skipper - I guess nothing has happened in TH since then....
css | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| I'm still waiting to hear the outcome of the hostage situation.
Drifter | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| I thought Lee Harvey Oswald (relative of Chuck and Spike Harvey) won the tournament....
Torggy | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| Hey Skip, maybe put a little milk on that stubble and let the cat lick it off. css It is funny how long that entry of yours asking about the hostage has stayed on the old page. I have almost given up going to the chronicle page. Yhe same thing for weeks gets old. Wasn't it great going to the clinic every year for your sports phyisical? My family had Dr. Kodiak or was it Kosiak, something like that. I think one year there was a woman doctor did it. Boy talk about a wierd deal. The event supplemented my dreams for weeks.
happy | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| css - it truly is good to have you back again...I so missed your sense of humor and unique way with words! Honestly, I'm clueless as to the pencil/physical legend...must have been Groover...and I thought Norm was a weird harold! Torggy, are you still having those kind of dreams? Skip, are you still taking vacation to iron? You really shouldn't let the shit pile up like that! Well, my daughter and I are off to Penguin Park before it gets too hot to fly down the slides. Y'all have a wonderful day. I am gonna have to call the urban legend today...I like that..urban legend, hah.
css | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| Torgy: I think the Dr. was Dr. Kosiak and I think the female Dr. was Dr. Dolbe (sp?). I think it was the early to mid 70's and it was quite a big deal for a small community to have a female physician...
css | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| ps...Happy: thank you. It is good to be back. A good day to be at the water park.
Torggy | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| css so is the female doc the one you refer to in the first entry on this thread? If so than I am not the only one out there who was marked for life by the experience. Happy Of course what is life without dreams?

Dr. Hal Leppink | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| OK everyone, turn your head to the right and cough!
Skipper | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| Funny I tell one person(Ivan) I am trying to grow a little facial hair and everyone knows about it but he does not sign any of the heckles, go figure...yes Happy still am ironing, I hate those damn jeans and collared shirts! Dr. Dolby lived on the way to Big Rock, kinda by Bolen's and Kuronen's houses....
css | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| Yes, Torggy that was the first Dr. I referred to in this thread. I think I spelled her name wrong the first time. Torggy, tell of your experiences. Settle down, Torggy!?
Ivan | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| Skipper - What does the Warden think of the "facial hair"? Will this cure all those work bench woes you've been having? Just picked up 5 Powerball numbers. Odds are 1 in 80 million. Hell, someone has to win it, why not me?
TWO-Z | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |

Ivan | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| Haven't we Two Harborites already suffered enough. First the Sidetrack and Big Noise burn down and now we're not allowed to win the Powerball. Damn the curse!

onlooker | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| Hey, if you guy's are not allowed to win the powerball in TH, maybe I can in Esko. If I win, I promise to rebuild Big Noise for all you guy's and you can be the owners. I just want a free cold one every now and then. It will have to be after my little party I'm going to have with say, Tom Petty and others as entertainment.
Fred | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
This is the first time I've purchased a powerball ticket, and holy crap, does it make your sense of reality go haywire! I actually think I have a chance to win and am already thinking about how to spend it. Gotta love it.

happy | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| Torggy - sic him (css). Skipper, I admire a "person" who still irons jeans - maybe it's just me...but I have to dust my iron off before I use it! It's been awhile since I've had to "dress up" - and don't miss it a bit...damn the pantyhose! And I don't miss typin' for attorneys either . . .what WILL I do when I grow up??

Drifter | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| There was a doctor up there, I think it was Rondo (sp?), who when you would go for the sports physicals, he would tell you that you should participate in a non-contact sport such as tennis instead of football. My response -- "Yeah, I'll think about that. Can I put my pants back on now??"
css | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| Drifter. That's not the way I haerd the story told. I heard the Dr. had to ask you to put your pants back on.

| "At least we aren't from Clover Valley." I like that quote. I'm going to print it out and tape it to my wall at work. They are very encouraging words that inspire hope.

Captain America | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
Wow! Lot's of posts since I last participated. Is that good or bad? Actually Drifter, in the Fall of 1989 (my senior campaign) we posted a 6-3 mark with a 1rst round playoff loss to the Pricktor Rails. The following two teams had winning records as well, with the fall '90 team going 5-4 (no playoff appearance) and the fall '91 team (led by Jesse Lundgren) going 7-2 with a 1-1 playoff record. THOSE GUYS, I believe, are the last group to have a winning record. I don't think Tom has much to work with, unfortunately. The FB program has been diminished by soccer, cross-country and wuss parents for many years now...TH won't post a winning record again until they go 9-man.

css | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| Captain America: I don't mean to make you paranoid but I know who you are. I had it figured out in about a week but I was unable to post. I remember several stories about you as a youngster. You were quite a handful for your parents and very precocious.
css | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |

Skipper | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| You are a sick man Plywood, combine with the Silver Bay boys and we will dominate once again, a quick snit at the Green Door would be in order on game nights too....
Skipper | Re: Urban Legends | 08-22-2001 |
| Torg after that cat comment you will not be allowed in the BNTNG after I win the powerball, you might gain entrance through the back door, I am sure it will be left ajar by Ivan purging stomach contents from one of B-Loop's burgers..
