Nugget | Re: Hells Angels | 07-26-2001 |
| I'm guessing this thread won't close without substantial intervention. Reminds me of a story about Winston Churchill. After listening to a fellow deliver a speech, someone asked Churchill what he thought of the performance. Churchill replied "He spoke without a note and almost without a point".

Torggy | Re: Hells Angels | 07-26-2001 |
| Good quote for the occasion Nugget. Does everyone know who Sonny Barger is? He is considered by many to be the founder of the Hells Angels. Has to speak with one of those amplifiers held to his throat. He did an interesting interview on the History channel awhile back. Probably in Sturgis SD this time of year.

| Torggy, in response to your response to Two-Z, I'm sending a photo to Webman of the Edna G that I took sometime this summer. I'll send it today and he seems to post them pretty quickly. Hope you find it evoking good memories.

TWO-Z | Re: Hells Angels | 07-26-2001 |
| WHERE DO WE FIND SOME OF THESE PEOPLE. ME NO SPEAK YOUR LANGUAGE. SKIP, DID YOU PAY UP ON YOUR BAR TAB OR ARE YOU SAVING IT FOR THE GOLF WEEKEND? I'M IN A TOURNAMENT ON THE 3RD. IT WILL BE NONE OTHER THAN A BIG DRUNK ON THE COMPANY. LOVE PERKS!

Brian Bosworth | Re: Hells Angels | 07-27-2001 |
| I don't head up the Angels. I thought Gene Mauch still did. Isn't Sonny Berger the punter for the Vikings?

|
Resident | Re: Hells Angels | 07-27-2001 |
| Sonny Barger was one of the toughest hombres in this country. Rank him up there with Chesty Puller and W.T. Sherman. Though he did not start the Hells Angels, he made them the baddest freakin' m.c. in the world. He was a hero. Didn't take crap from anybody.

Torggy | Re: Hells Angels | 07-27-2001 |
| Thanks for sending the picture Nugget. I have not seen it yet but I am sure I will enjoy it. Do you use a digital camera? If so what kind? Ya hoo I got a suprise day off. And on the day we go to the Twins-Mariners game. Sure hope the Twins at least put up a good fight. It is going to be kind of lonely sitting there with my little Twins banner.
|
|
Nugget | Re: Hells Angels | 07-27-2001 |
| Torggy, I had an email from webman this morning saying he would post the picture over the weekend. I hope you enjoy it. I don't use a digital camera as I don't like the quality of the pictures. I just use a mid range Minolta sti, nothing fancy. Good luck at the Twins game as the lone Twins fan...I like the Twins to win. After getting pissed off in Oakland I think they feel as though they have something to prove...
|
|
Drifter | Re: Hells Angels | 07-27-2001 |
| Torggy - Have fun at the game. It has been a fun season to follow. It's hard to believe that it's nearly August and the Twins are still in the thick of things. It's frustrating, however, that Terry Ryan hasn't been able to get a pitcher and/or a right handed power hitter. Pretty tough to win the division with two rookies in the starting rotation. Happy Friday!!

| I was just checking out Sonny Bargers web site. Believe it or not this outlaw among outlaws, this legend of the path less traveled, has his own line of name brand bar-b-que condiments for sale. I just ordered the salsa.

Nugget | Re: Hells Angels | 07-27-2001 |
| Two-Z...hope springs eternal in the fall. A porous defense will continue to hinder them. And an offense that couldn't score a singe point against the Giants last year in the NFC title game does not bode well for our boys in purple...
|
|
Torggy | Re: Hells Angels | 07-27-2001 |
| Sonny has a web site?! That sells salsa?! I gotta go see this. Nugget, that is what many say about digital cameras. Still I think there is one in my near future. The convience is very appealing. The Twins seem to be sliding lately. Now the Yankees have a better record. Still they have had a great season. Now all I have to do is fight through the Seattle traffic to get there. Safeco field is nice though. They have beer stands with 16 ounce plastic bottles in ice stationed all over the place. So your $5.50 bottle of beer is at least cold and only a few steps away. Also nice is the bathrooms are numerous and close. This series has been sold out for more than a month so it will be crowded.

Bitter old man | Re: Hells Angels | 07-27-2001 |
| Vikings will be 8-8 at best. Twins will finish in 3rd place. Red will move the Vikings within 3 years. Twins will be eliminated from baseball. Wolves will lose again in the first round of playoffs. Wild will have losing seasons for 10 years straight. Agates will win 1 or 2 football games all year. Jesse will be re-elected. I am a bitter old man.

Fortune | Re: Hells Angels | 07-27-2001 |
| Check out the many Hells Angels websites. The one from the Daly City M.C. has some photos of the good old days. The European Hells Angels clubs look pretty sad. Just imitations. Oh and by the way Chesty Puller was a U.S.M.C. General and WWII hero.

Get your ass to the local hardware store and buy yourself some satisfaction. Life is too short to bitch all the time.

| According to that skank wife of yours your crank was shriveled long long ago. It is time for you to visit the check out ward. Your attempt to drag others down is weak. Die you scum pig. Take the dirt nap. Idiot. Fool. Make it neat. Make it clean. Rid the Earth of your rotted body. The big lake is cold and deep. The pain you deserve would be quick. Come on pal, do it. Deep down you know you should. Do it.

| Hang in there sawbill, this is just an enjoyable interlude in the usual intellectual discussions. I think I like BOM. I am also getting quite bald and I have weeds in my lawn. I ain't claiming the rest of that just yet. Don't go BOM! If you want to play dead for a while, just rent one of Hugo's condos and sort of drop out of sight for a while. A word of warning; if you uh, enjoy any of the female persuasion in Hugo's neighborhood, your crank will really be in trouble.

webman | Re: Hells Angels | 07-27-2001 |
| I like the Vikings to at least take the Central Division. I am hopelessly optimistic. Here in Arkansas I am surrounded by fans of the Dallas Cowgirls. If nothing else, they are loyal. Good for Randy Moss. He gets an "A" in capitalism. Don't even bother saying he isn't worth it. The guy is worth whatever some damn fool with too much money wants to pay him.

Skipper | Re: Hells Angels | 07-28-2001 |

| This post is for the Chev, Tonight(Saturday) A&E has a special "LIVE BY REQUEST" Neil Diamond concert 9pm et/6pm pt, get the lawn cut early, sit back with some pork rinds and cold Old Style and sing like a son of a bitch....
|
|
Torggy | Re: Hells Angels | 07-28-2001 |
| It was a geat game for about 5 innings last night. Then the Mariners just ran away with it. I had hoped that the Twins could at least win one while I was there. There were quite a number of Twins fans, marked by the hats or shirts worn. It started raining during the game and they rolled the roof shut, it was kind of neat. Least the beer was cold. Webby I got to feel for ya. Nothing worse than Cowboy fans. I am getting tired of Mariner fans.

Falcon Edie | Re: Hells Angels | 07-28-2001 |
| Skipper, thanks for the heads up on the Neil Diamond concert tonight. Unfortunately, after being in Dallas for 3 days, TWC has to work tonight in the office and he'll miss it. Maybe I should record it for him! I did watch Neil Baby on the Today Show Friday morning--our son said, "Boy, this guy really sucks!" What do these punks today know!
