| The one man wrecking crew continues. Amazing what people will do to try and spoil other people's fun. It's really quite sad.

Pond boys | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-07-2001 |
We're so frustrated with this bulletin board that we could just puke! Why did Mr. Trash have to ruin it for us good people of Two Harbors? We bet he isn't even from TH. He just goes from guestbook to guestbook making people miserable. We just wish he would go away.

happy | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-07-2001 |
| A-h-h-h-h, come on Pondies - you guys aren't any more confused than the rest of us good folk....I can't remember which thread I start reading first - usually ends up taking me just a little longer, that's all. Don't worry; be happy....We'll find out where Mr. T lives - sooner or later........

happy | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-07-2001 |
| Webman - just viewed your picture - you really haven't changed much - you've aged gracefully - why is it men can do that????? Do you have Fin in you?

Hugo | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-07-2001 |

webman | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-07-2001 |
| Happy, I did not actually think I could be recognized in that picture. No Finn, and thanks, I think.
Kitty | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-07-2001 |
| Webman, you're right about giving thanks for not being Finnish!!! I'm really bummed. I wanted to post more on the Pond boys thread...wanted to ask them how many of them there were, who is older, who is better looking...you know, the important stats! And lets not forget the most obvious: is that their last name, or did they live near one.

webman | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-07-2001 |

Kitty | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-07-2001 |
| What a day I've had! I almost hate to tell y'all about it (not bad for a northerner, eh, Webman?) because for sure some of you will be envious. We went to Bete Gris (South Shore probably knows where that is) and went swimming...the water was cold...nipple-hurting cold, but invigorating. Then the wind died down, switched to the nnw and the flies began to bite relentlessly..o.k., this part you won't envy. We packed up our stuff and headed for Eagle River (not WI)and not a fly was seen or felt. The water was great, waves were nice and the kids had a ball. After broiled trout (I told you you'd be envious) we went to Ahmeek park to hear, none other than, the Polka Kings! You got it, swimming, sunning, 3 Bud lights, broiled trout and polka music, all in one day! Man, does it get any better than this? I suppose I could have had a sauna and a good lay, but it's damn close!
webman | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-07-2001 |
| Fresh broiled trout. DAMN! It doesn't get much better than that. Are the Polka Kings the MI equivalent of the Chmielewski Funtime Polka Band?
Pond boys | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-07-2001 |
| Kitty Nipple hurting ?, We are really frustrated and confused now! Did the Bud lights cause that?
Falcon Edie | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-07-2001 |
| Kitty-I am truly jealous! It's been so damn hot here the past week, you can hardly stand to stay outside. In fact, our dog has to be carried outside so he can take care of his necessities and once done, heads right back indoors!
Kitty | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-08-2001 |
| Webman, you're probably right in your comparison. Kind of like hometown, local celebrities.

onlooker | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-08-2001 |
| It's been hot in the big city of Esko too. Sold my Motorhome and bought a 5th wheel. Been living in it ever since. Even the dog stands by the door to get in. My father could not wait for me to get home from work yesterday so he could sit in my camper and drink Bud Light, ish. "Nipple hurting cold" they hurt do they? Us guy's just get serious shrinkage. Serious shrinkage. Like it's not small enough already. Oh well, as long as you know how to use it.

Carleone Pocheka | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-08-2001 |
| It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of Nugget. Nugget left this veil of tears on Wednesday August 1, 2001. The memorial service was held on Saturday. Followed by cremation. The ashes were cast into the wind so that Nugget may mingle among friends throughout the Earth. Memorials may be sent, as donations, to Nuggets favorite charity The Society of Syphilitic Felines. Remember Nugget for the wit and charm provided to this forum. Nuggets favorite quote "Honest officer, I thought the boy was eighteen."

Tubby | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-08-2001 |
| As an FBI profiler with more than ten years experience I have determined that the monicker 'the pond boys' is that of a schizophrenic white woman. Probably in her late thirties or early forties. Furthermore, this woman had restricted toilet training as a child, she has a speech impediment and tends to walk in left bearing ever increasing circles as she makes her way home from the Dixie. Her use of the term 'boys' shows a hatred of everything male. The word 'pond' comes from the fact that she carries a latent desire to attend the famed Pond Institute as seen on T.V. soap advertisements. I have an accuracy of 98.352% in my profiling. Yes readers, 'the pond boys' are not boys. On the other hand, I am wrong 1.648% of the time. In that case 'the pond boys' are middle aged, beer bellied, under-achievers. The restricted toilet training still holds.

South Shore | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-08-2001 |
| Oops. I didn't meanto send that last one so fast. I'm sitting in the lab watching RHEED oscillations in a ultra high vacuum system. Getting ready to calculate crystal growth rates for pilse lasers on the molecular beam epitaxy machine. I know. I know. It sounds like a bunch of nerdy crapola. But that's my life. Next week I'm taking some time off. Get out of the ultra clean room lab and into the BWCA. Only fifteen more years and I retire. Oops. This sitting in the lab alone is starting to get to me. Feeling down. Time to go home. Bye the bye...I always wondered about the Pond Boys.

Mama Pond (or is it Dad Pond?) | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-08-2001 |
| Leave my girls, oops--boys alone. They only want to make some friends and they miss Nugget. They are going through a tough time in their life. Does anyone have Dr. Laura's phone number--I just know she can straighten these poor mixed up boys (Oops-girls) out.

| Well everyone, I hope "y'all" have a great weekend. I'm at work but am blowing out of here early. Got to pack up the new camper. Grand Rapids bound camping tomorrow but not before I go out on a charter fishing on the big lake. Taking my boy, my uncle and my dad for his birthday. The boat is called the Happy Hooker and their motto is "you are guaranteed to catch something" I love it. My picture is actually posted on the website. Check it out. I'm in the 2000 pic gallery, pic #13. Have a good one all. http://fishduluth.com/happyhooker/

TWO-Z | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-09-2001 |
| TALKED TO A RELATIVE IN BRIMSON LAST NITE. THE WORD IS THEY'VE BEEN WITHOUT POWER SINCE 6:00 YESTERDAY MORNING. THEY SAID A TREE WENT THREW SOMEONE'S BEDROOM AND POWER LINES WERE DOWN ALL AROUND HUGO'S. DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY'LL GET POWER BACK. THANK GOD FOR GENERATORS HE SAID. WAS ABLE TO STILL RUN THE AIR IN THIS HEAT. WILL KEEP INFORMED. HAVE FUN ONLOOKER.

Torggy | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-09-2001 |
| Have a great time Onlooker. If I got the right picture, thats a great looking mess of fish. NO! Skipper say it ain't so!! Hugo's hit by a tree. Is there so mercy in this world.
Drifter | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-09-2001 |
| Yes, it sounds like the big storm hit early yesterday morning up north. I guess there were trees down all over the place in the Brimson area. I don't know the specifics of the damage to Hugo's, just that it was hit by a tree. I'm not sure if it was the store or the bar or both. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing okay up there.

Kitty | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-09-2001 |
| Onlooker, have fun in Grand Rapids, and don't do anything the rest of us wouldn't do! Skipper, you KNOW I don't like Neil Diamond. Tubby, cute post, but I was especially impressed with your ability to add decimals to one hundred. Falcon Edie, it has cooled off here, not as humid and is only to get up to 80, so maybe your relief from the heat is near. Two-Z, that same storm blew through here, but in my neck of the woods it wasn't too bad. On to reading other posts...

TWC | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-09-2001 |
| Hey, we're within 13 of closing this thread when I'm done with this post. So Hugo's may have sustained some wind damage? Was it a tornado, or the breeze emanating from Buck (Mr. 4K) Buchanan's bat following that dazzling performance in the Dome Wednesday night? I'm beginning to wonder if Guzman will be back at all. Not good. I also wonder if Terry Ryan is still trying to make a waiver deal for another bat. If he isn't, it may be time to try somebody else down on the farm.

TWO-Z | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-09-2001 |
| KITTY, I GOT HIT BY BOTH STORMS YESTERDAY. ALOT OF BRANCHES DOWN. THE ONE YESTERDAY AFTERNOON WAS BLOWING OVER THE WOODEN CHAIRS ON THE DECK. PRETTY GOOD SIZE WIND. YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN HOW BIG MY DOG'S EYES WERE. HA HA FINALLY HAVE A COOL DOWN AND THERE'S TWO GOLF OUTINGS THIS WEEKEND AND I HAVE TO MISS BOTH. BUMMER.

Fred | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-09-2001 |
| Two-Z, I just saw the photo from the golf course...it looks like it was taken from the red tees on number 18. It was a nice picture! I answered your Grand Rapids golf question in the "Change" thread...I didn't know where to respond!
TWO-Z | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-09-2001 |
| FRED, THAT'S NOT THE WHOLE I WANTED TO SHOW A PICTURE OF. IT'S JUST THE PICTURE I HAD TO SEND IN. I'LL LOOK IN THE CHANGE THREAD. I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO GO ANYMORE EITHER. IT'S HARD WHEN YOUR AT WORK AND YOU DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME TO LOOK IN HERE.
Drifter | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-09-2001 |
| TWC - I hate to be negative, but it looks like the Twins are in real trouble. As you say, who knows when Guzman will be ready, and Radke is now on the DL. I just turned on the radio and it's already 2-0 Cleveland in the 1st inning. With Milton pitching, you would think we would have a chance to take this one. We'll see.....
Kitty | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-09-2001 |
| South Shore, I'd like to ask you a technical question, but would rather not do it on the board...would you mind terribly e-mailing me? It's no big deal, just something I'm sure you could answer. If not, I'll understand.
Smog expert | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-09-2001 |
| It's a technical matter....
TWC | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-09-2001 |
| Oh, me of little faith. Twins win a big one today over Cleveland. A nice winning streak would be helpful here. Let's see if the boys can get something done in that baseball hotspot, Tampa Bay.
Drifter | Re: GINGER THOMAS 2004 | 08-09-2001 |
| It was a big win. Time to get healthy in Tampa before we have to face those damn Indians again. Look out for the A's. Red hot.
