| Usually I agree with Kitty. But I find that I cannot agree with her last post. Two Harbors has become an evil place in the past 10 years. There is no meaningful development in the area. There is no compassion evident in the people. Greed controls almost everything done here. Our schools rate at the bottom. No future there. Our business owners rate at the bottom. No vision at all! The City Council has become the most watched comedy of the week on local TV. The County Board has become a Republican haven. We have lost any chance for a post office. Any easy fixes, Kitty? | Abner, I'm sorry I can't fix what ails your town, though I firmly believe shopping locally is the first thing people can do to restore their community, if they even care about their community. Unfortunately, money (greed) is a very powerful motivator for those in charge. In my own area, those who occupy positions in the Chamber of Commerce and the Tourism Council are there to make sure whatever decisions are made can benefit them, not all members as a whole. That can be said for SOME of the people in local political offices. That's the way it is, here and probably most everywhere. As for school attitudes, sounds like you could use a shot of enthusiasm, school spirit and LOTS of positive support for sporting events and other things like Odyssey of the Mind. It all starts with your own attitude. Do away with negative thinking and think about the positive things going on around you. That's it. I'll leave any more preaching for Father Bob. | Ah, my sweet child Kitty! I must agree with part of the previous post. Two Harbors HAS become a much poorer place in the past 10 years. It is such a burden to continually fight for what is good and right, only to have your efforts destroyed by those who have no vision, no caring, little intelligence, but a large portion of GREED.
