Sorry to hear it Tail, I'm with Hazel, my condition is in fine condition today. Smeltfried...I think Tail is so jealous of us both today. But, I would have rather had the shrimp she had last night instead of my cold pizza. So I guess maybe I'm jealous of her too! Tail...that's broiled shrimp!! (There was no pun intended hon). Does anybody know of an artist that does really good outdoorsy type prints? Besides Terry Redlin. Would appreciate any help. |

Hi All! It is snowing in South Dakota. We need a little something to cover the dead brown earth. Hazel: There is Tom Green and another young artist from the Watertown, SD area that is great is Josh Spies. I like both artists. We also have a couple duck prints that are really nice from Mark Anderson. Good Luck! I will ask my husband about some others for you. |

Smeltyboy and Hazelwench - okay you too. A couple of real charaters aren't you? The shrimp I had for dinner was VERY delicious but perhaps it was an omen that I chose that. Maybe I should have ordered the King Cut Prime Rib huh? But you 2 wait. Just wait. You'll be jealous of ME real soon......... |

Oh, and Archie, as much as I HATE snow....I do have to admit that this year...right about now..I'm begging for it. Extenuating circumstances. My fingers and toes are crossed tightly. I'm doing a snow dance each night. Tonight I'll be on the corner of 7th Ave and 6th Street |

Hazel, Cold pizza and... or large shrimp and no...I'd have to go with the pizza and desert myself. Alittle less Tequilla, Slippery Nipple shots and beer though, that I mixed in last night might be a good idea. Snow dancing eh Tailspin? You hate snow and your snow dancing? I don't get it. You trying to put some moves on a snow plow driver or what? Those snow plow drivers are pretty studly eh? |

Issy, thanks for the jokes, they were funny, especially the blind one- I printed it out to read to my friend who will get a big kick out of it. Torggy, I ditto Hazels response to you on your joke, but seems like there should have been "blond" mentioned in that joke, I don't know, maybe it's just me. Webman, the physics 'when-hell-freezes-over' thing was great! Hey, Betty, what'd'ya say we head West July 11-14th and make an appearance, in all our anonymous glory??!! |

Onlooker (I think you're the one who gave me directions to Little Bear) Back from Denver. Stayed at the Marriott City Center on California. Business went well. Glad to see the Paramount Bar is still there. I have fond memories of the Paramount. Made it to the Trail Dust down on Arapahoe. Finished early on Saturday and took a drive up I-70 to take pictures. Had every intention on hitting Little Bear on the way back but talk about traffic! Made it back to Idaho Springs and got off the highway. Stopped to let traffic die down and ate at the Buffalo Restaurant. Stayed to watch Tampa Bay and the Jets get killed. Excellent selection of micro-brews. Had a good time but way to many people for me. Traffic jams on Thursday night at 8:00 PM on I-25. |

Fritz, the last time I was in Denver the traffic was terrible. When I moved back here from Denver in 93 I-470 was hardly even being used. The last time I was there, it was one big traffic jam on that road. To bad about not making it to the Little Bear. You could have taken the back road down the mountain and checked our Red Rocks. Pretty cool there too. |

Saginaw is 20 miles north of Duluth off of Hwy 2 and 194. Tailspin - Thanks for coming back. That Onlooker is persuasive isn't he? July 11-14th, Heritage Days, Which of those dates won't you all be paying homage to your TH heritage? Fritz - Onlooker speaks the truth, Red Rocks is an awesome place. Natural accoustical rock formations, many concerts have been performed there. Dom - The only "Big Things" that frighten me are .......are..........are.......... |

I see that there is finally some interest in the Minnesota Twins. A businessman from Alabama wants to buy. He says that a buyout would save the team from "contraction" and that he would build new stadium, etc., etc. It would sure be good to be able to keep the team, but I will be curious as to how the deal would be structured. You know, tax incentives, stadium funding, blah, blah, blah, ad nauseum. |

Nothing good comes without it's price. How much are we willing to pay? I am not a basball fan, too laid back for me. America's pastime isn't as popular as it used to be - we are all in too much of a fast paced, balls to the walls lifestyle. Baseball doesn't fit in as well anymore. A leisurely day at the ball field? Not these days. Give me face paint, a bud-light and a purple jersey anyday. Have a great night everyone. |

Donald Watkins called the Minnesota Twins on Monday, starting a process that could make him the first black controlling owner of a major league baseball team. If the deal goes through, it could be done in 6 to 8 months. The team is estimated to be worth $99 million to $150 million. Apparently Watkins would pay 'cash' for the team. Baseball still fits into our society. Each of us just has to learn to slow down and enjoy the basics of American life - baseball being one of them. |

Nice try, Torggy, but I'm not takin' the bait! Smeltfried, I never use this word, but snow conditions here SUCK big time, like, we hardly have any snow at all, and we usually get at LEAST 200+ inches, not this year, unless some miracle happens. If you come up this way, you'll have to meet me for a beer at Eagle Harbor Inn, my favorite place, though I don't get there often. Nice try, Webman, you KNOW that Kitty is not me!!! WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) - Internet experts said Monday that a picture of a half-naked man posted on a mysterious message board jammed telephone lines around the world for several hours. The photograph, posted by an individual known only as "Webman," drew almost immediate attention. Some women, for example, cyber-drooled. Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger accused Webman of stealing his pectorals. "I mean, vat the hell is this,?" said Schwarzenegger while adjusting his pacemaker on the set of an upcoming movie, "Terminator 64: No Plot Allowed." Some questioned the authenticity of the photograph. "It looks fake to me," said a woman who asked to be identified as Tailspin. "Besides, I like short, dumpy men who wear baseball caps in the American Legion and can't play pool worth squat." The Rev. Jerry Falwell said the photograph was only further proof of the moral decay exhibited by people who post on this message board, called "Arbley." "They're all degenerates," said Falwell as he totaled up revenues from his latest video, "Clinton and Cleopatra: Sex, sex, sex!" President Bush was unavailable for comment. He was last seen frantically searching for a glass of water after choking on some preztels. Rep. James Oberstar (D-Minn.) suggested that Bush should try a different snack food. "What about lutefisk?" suggested Oberstar. "That'll clear his body cavities!" |

I will have to buy some cheap sunglasses to wear at night - cuz the sun don't ever set on the "cool". You'll find that out if you show up this summer. Webman - are those Calvin Klein's under their? Speaking of Red Rocks.... I graduated from Lakewood High School in Lakewood Colorado. I saw some fabulous concerts at Red Rocks. Some I remember more than others. The best has to be the Dire Straits. A few other great ones - Joe Cocker, 38 Special and of course good ole' Willie Nelson. Great Times! To do before I die hmm...to sun bathe naked and drunk on a tropical beach in Mexico without scaring away the locals or tourists or well...anybody. |

One of the people where I work gave me this, so I thought I would share it: 1. Never give yourself a haircut after three margaritas. 2. You need only two tools. WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape. 3. The five most essential words for a healthy, vital relationship "I apologize" and "You are right." 4. Everyone seems normal until you get to know them. 5. When you make a mistake, make amends immediately. It's easier to eat crow while it's still warm. 6. The only really good advice that your mother ever gave you was, "Go! You might meet somebody!" 7. If he/she says that you are too good for him/her--believe them. 8. Learn to pick your battles; ask yourself, 'Will this matter one year from now? How about one month? One week? One day?' 9. Never pass up an opportunity to pee. 10. If you woke up breathing, congratulations! You have another chance! 11. Living well really is the best revenge. Being miserable because of a bad or former relationship just might mean that the other person was right about you. 12. Work is good, but it's not that important. 13. And finally... Be really nice to your friends. You never know when you are going to need them to empty your bedpan. |

I read this article that said the typical symptoms of stress are eating too much, drinking too much, impulse bying and driving too fast. Are they kidding? That is my idea of a perfect day. Skinny people piss me off! Especially when they say things like, "You know sometimes I forget to eat." Now, I've forgotten my address, my mother's maiden name, and my keys. But I've never forgotten to eat. You have to be a special kind of stupid to forget to eat. A friend of mine confused her valium with her birth control pills.. She had 14 kids, but she doesn't give a shit. They keep telling us to get in touch with our bodies. Mine isn't all that communicative but I heard from it the other day after I id, "Body, how'd you like to go to the six o'clock class in vigorous toning?" Clear as a bell my body said, "listen bitch...do it and you die." The trouble with some women is that they get allexcited about nothing and then they marry him. I know what Victoria's Secret is. The secret is that nobody older than 30 can fit into their stuff. "If men can run the world, why can't they stop wearing neckties? How intelligent is it to start the day by tying a noose around your neck?" |

Got this email from a friend. January 2000: Kathleen Robertson of Austin Texas was awarded > $780,000 by a jury of her peers after breaking her ankle tripping over a > toddler who was running amuck inside a furniture > store. Fing Jim, Stupid posts? Look at yours and think about it. Sisgavin, One of the concerts at Red Rocks that I never seen but got close enough to hear was the Grateful Dead. Never got tickets but got close enough to hear it and we had a great time. Another was BBQing at a friends house right next to Folsum Field in Boulder and Listening to you know Who singing Teanage Wasteland in the backround. Man them guy's rocked that day. Tailspin, bring really really cheap sunglasses to Issy's place because after your on the pontoon for awhile, you will probably dive in the lake and for some odd reason forget that you have them on. That will be the last you will see of them. Have a good one all. |

If I had a dollar for every pair of sunglasses sitting mired in the 3 feet of loon shit that coats the bottom of 9,999 of Minnesotas 10,000 (yea I know theres closer to 15,000) lakes Id be a rich man. Could be a business opportunity for the right person. Theyre making a mint reclaiming sunken lumber all over the country. |

Lost a pair of cheap sunglasses (or 2 or 3 or 4) in my day too. Most memorial time was the night after seeing ZZ Top in Minneapolis. Did the Apple River thing the next day. Dove into the tube and voila, what do you know. Those glasses be goners!! |

TWC: Okay...I am young, niave and willing to learn...who in the heck is Carl Pohlad? Smeltfried: Do share your vacation destination...sounds wonderful! Onlooker: I never got to see the who. I always enjoyed when the grateful dead came to town. I never saw their concert but the deadheads we met were very entertaining themselves. |

I saw one concert at Red Rocks. I believe it was Deep Purple. There were far more people wanting in then there were seats. The riot that ensued was wild. The band was playing inside and the cops were outside trying to control the crowd. There was smoke in the air and people hanging off the surrounding rocks. I think it took till 4 in the morning just to get out of the parking lot. Yee Haw what a night. Ever notice how some people seem to always lose sunglasses, lighters, keys and such, and some people seem to always find them? Smeltfried, you getting anxious to do some snowmobiling? Got lots of snow in the mountians here. See guys heading to the hills everyday with snowmobiles in tow. |

Former Res - I just found out yesterday that I may be attending a National Convention in Chicago the end of May. If it all pans out and I end up going I'll have to look you up and maybe we can meet somewhere on Rush and Division for a couple beverages? I won't know details for quite awhile yet but I thought I should give you a heads up. Actually, and I know this may stir some debate, I knew / know Carl Pohlad personally. I used to do all of his travel arrangements for him. He is a very nice guy. But, agreed, a very shrewd and sometimes heartless appearing business man. |

Good Morning and Happy Thursday. The cold weather is coming..a low of -15 tonight...I got spoiled with the mild 30's we were having not too long ago. Anyone an "Ed"(the TV show) fan? Very interesting story line last night. And West Wing was very good as usual. Have a great day all... |

To clarify, for those of you (unlike me) who are wise enough to ignore Major League Baseball: Pohlad is the owner of the Minnesota Twins, and he wants to fold the team in return for $250 million, even though he could sell the team for a price less than that, but still hefty. Apparently, the price of caviar has gone up. By the way, Webby, since you are a NASCAR fan, I have a suggestion that would simultaneously entertain our Armed Forces and provide an exciting new venue for auto racing: NASCAR on aircraft carriers, without a net. Think I should put that one in the suggestion box? |

Sure is good to see Kitty posting again. How is the son? You had such a busy schedule before I bet this has changed it some huh? Still working at the bar? Pohlad is the owner of the Twins. Anonymous, it makes ya wonder about the jury system sometimes doesn't it? Would we all make those verdicts as a jurist? Shows ya just how persuasive a good lawyer can be. Fred, sorry I just never watch primetime TV anymore. Its the History channel, Discovery, TLC, or sports for me these days. You might have to reconsider that ticket to warmer golfing climates again. Either that or those orange colored balls and some long johns. Tailspin in Chicago! Wow! Tail you better watch out or the windy city could blow your skirt up. Falcon Edie it was great talking to you last night but the chat room was sure acting up. Tell that off-guard in your family to plant his feet firmly during a screen and roll to the ball. And tell that dumpy guy in the hat he has a great sense of humor. I see in the paper that Fingerhut is in some turmoil. I wonder how that is going to affect a certian drifty guy I know? Or does he even check this board anymore? |

Torggy, my son is doing well, back at school though with the cast on his leg, his wings have been clipped a bit! I haven't worked at the bar since September-they have a girl living above the bar who basically has taken my job as fill in-you got to admit, she's convenient! Maybe I can work in the summer again, as that was the plan, just summers. I've been working as much as possible at school, and only taking classes that are offered after 3:30. This week is exams for the kids, so I only worked 1.5 days. "Betty" and her mom are on their way up here as I type and "Millie" (you remember, clothes-are-optional!)is already here to see Mom (and grandma for Betty). She's now in a nursing home. I didn't want to be there when my oldest sister sees her, because she'll be a basket case, and we'll all end up crying, so I decided to stay home, do housework and listen to Diana Krall in my computer. It'll be nice to have everybody here, but our reunioun isn't going to be the happy one we had last Oct., though we're going to try and make the best of it, maybe find some music one night and dance. Gee, I didn't mean to ramble, you'd think this was e-mail or something!! |

D. Staley.......kids go to bed. I personally don't make a habit of sitting on here when there is something we could do as a family. BUT if the three men in my world have COPS, or Rambo, or something on the television I don't want to watch, what's the difference? Besides, what does it matter to you? Have a wonderful Friday everyone, and if you're in the area of Northern Minnesota, DRESS WARMLY!! It's colder then a witches.... |

Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. Now there was a pair to draw to. I suddenly have the desire to see one of their shows. Oh Stanley! Friday would be all the much better if I did not have to work tomorrow. They say the economy is falling but it seems everyone I know is overwhelmed with work. Guess that shows just how differant our prospectives can be. Try to keep warm and have a great Friday. |

Happy Friday, and a three day weekend for me. I have heard of "luckier than a two-peckered billygoat" before but not the owl thing. What does it have to do with cold? Too many balls to worry about? Onlooker, I will probably see you sometime on Saturday with a B-day gift for the young-un. Tailspin - Chicago is one of the coolest cities I have been to. The Magnificent Mile is really awesome. I was there in summertime and the lake was warm, played volleyball on the beach. Ate tons of ethnic food, took the El train, city bus and a taxicab. You can buy liquor in the grocery store...........Went to Venetian something or other - yahcts and boats decorated and paraded through the water. The most wonderful fireworks I have ever seen - shot off to music. Have a blast - I would suggest taking an extra day or two for yourself. Anonymous - you sure are the graphic "king" or "queen". Have a great weekend everyone - stay safe and warm. |

Say....can we all chip in a rent a HUGE hot tub for your arbley party this summer? What do you think?
